2024-2025 School Year Coloring Book Distribution

Each year Cheri has had the opportunity to deliver the Coloring Books to the area schools.  This year she delivered 285 books to the Waseca County Elementary Schools for the Kindergarteners.   The Coloring books titled "Kids Care for a Clean Environment" cover topics of clean air, plants, clean water. There is also a few exercises to do like unscramble the words and help the chipmunk find his house by going through a maze.  Hopefully your child will bring some of these ideas home to you to help keep our environment clean.

"I have had the pleasure of delivering the books since 2017 .  It is always great connecting with the Principals,  Teachers and Secretaries each year."  The Principals and Teachers are always thankful for the books and consideration the Soil and Water District has for the young people of the County.  "Thank you to the Teachers for taking the time to include Conservation in their teaching plans."
Cheri

Here are some pictures of the classes enjoying the books.  (More will be added as they come in)

2017-2025 School Years

2698 Conservation based coloring books distributed.
Each Fall, the Waseca SWCD delivers Coloring Books to the Waseca County Kindergarteners and 1st graders.  Some 1st grade classes had already received the same books the year before so were not included in the following years.  However, there were extra copies left at the schools just incase more were needed. The coloring books promote Conservation in different ways such as clean environment, clean water, keeping our air clean, with ways each of us can do to make the environment better for us and the coming generations.

Coloring books were also given out at local events and fairs in the county.
