Each year, the Waseca SWCD has seen an increase in tree and shrub distributions.  The orders for the spring of 2020 amounted to 5,081 trees and shrubs being ordered and 13 wildflower packs.  A number of the trees and shrubs went in to new or existing windbreaks and shelterbelts.  Some of the wildflower packs will be going into rain gardens and yard landscaping and beautification.   See Tree Program heading under Programs and Services Menu.

Tree Delivery Day at the Waseca County Fair Grounds.
There are many varieties of trees and shrubs the Waseca SWCD takes orders for, from landowners in December through February and distributes them in Late April to Early May.  Many of these trees and shrubs are used for establishing windbreaks.  Others are used in Wildlife areas or Wildlife Food Plots.
